Design companies on twitter:

Now we are progressing with the idea of 'Type & I' as a concept and project, which will be creating a Twitter page for, I have chosen to investigate other agency's twitter profiles to see how the theme their pages.

Design Boom
Design boom uses a header photo as additional information on their twitter profile. The Image they have picked very simply sums up what Design boom is as a company and visually displays what they are about.
Design boom continues the theme colour scheme of florescent yellow which is uses in it's logo.
It is important to designate a certain amount of colours to a project so that the branding doesn't become cluttered and over powering.
Creative Review
Creative review use this logo as the profile picture on their twitter profile and a piece of work which is visually interesting but relates to their aim as a company which is to review creative work rather than create it.
The background of Creative review's twitter profile again uses a neon like yellow hue which in this instance doesn't follow a theme which CR have around their brand or branding.
It's nice that
It's nice that's twitter page is very undeveloped despite having acquired over 100 thousand followers.
The company uses their logo as the profile picture on the twitter account but doesn't have a header image which isn't very common.
It's nice that make no use of a background on their twitter page.
The people behind the company regularly tweet and keep the posts update, yet their twitter profile seems really unmaintained like no effort has been put into their appearance. I am unsure why this is the case, but it hasn't halted their success, evidently.
No brow press
No Brow balance the use of a simplistic, abstract, duo-tone  logo with a very complex header of one of their famous illustrations, Hilda.
This contrast works very well compared to if the logo was overly complicated and the header was not.
No brow's background makes use of Hilda's book cover which again is very complex and detailed, and uses the same colour scheme as the header image that no Brow have chosen to use. The whole twitter page looks very well maintained and upto date.
Pete McKee illustrator
Pete McKee,  a famous illustrator from Sheffield doesn't currently use a header photo on his twitter page. His profile picture of choice is very vibrant and detailed, although it is an illustration which relates to the Christmas period which could show that Pete doesn't keep his twitter profile up to date.
Pete McKee's background of his twitter page is again one of his large Illustrations which spans the entire twitter page and looks very charming.
D&AD New Blood
D&AD New Blood's twitter profile sticks with the theme which D&AD go for, it uses comic book style boxes to attempt to influence their audience to tweet about their company.
Their background uses the same style, but unfortunately isn't very large and neither is it tiled, so for that reason it is restricted to a specific corner of the browser.
